Exploring Ambergris Caye by Golf Cart Ambergris Caye is 25 miles long, and a golf cart is the best way to see all of it. Here are some of the top spots our guests love to visit: Secret Beach: A stunning stretch of calm turquoise water on the western side of the island, about 8 miles north of San Pedro. Perfect for a full-day trip. Hol Chan Marine Reserve: Drive south and hop on a snorkeling tour to see the reef, sea turtles, nurse sharks, and rays at Shark Ray Alley. Truck Stop: A favorite local hangout with food, drinks, a pool, and live music, located just north of the bridge. Boca del Rio: Cross the bridge with your included bridge pass and explore the quieter, more residential northern side of the island. San Pedro Town: Park your cart and wander the colorful streets, browse local shops, and grab fresh seafood at one of dozens of waterfront restaurants.
